Classroom ipods/ipad We currently have 6 ipods and 2 ipad that the students get to use in the classroom.
Right now, we use them in the following ways: 1. We look up words using the "Dictionary" app... 2. We listen to audiobooks...I have purchased about 10 titles so far... 3. We play educational game apps.
In the future, we will use them also in the following ways: 1. Study current events...local, national, and international... 2. Research topics for reports, etc.... 3. Multimedia Projects
Students are allowed to bring in their iPods, Nooks,...They must give to me the moment they enter the classroom. I will lock them up until they are needed. They are responsible for keeping the device safe while in their hands. They will get the device back before leaving for the day. The school is not responsible for the safety of the device.
If you have an unwanted ipod...or you have upgraded and have an older ipod that you no longer use - I will take it!!! I can put our apps and audiobooks on them and more students can use them...(One of the 4 ipods we currently have, is my husband's old nano...very old, but it works for audio books) I have purchased all of our audiobooks & apps with my own money...If you ever have a need to get our class a gift - itunes cards are always appreciated...Thank you so much!!!
-A very special thank you to Ken Peterson for purchasing a 2 year subscription for our classroom to "Classroom Voki." Ken is Grandpa to Nick Burns.
